How lucky am I??

Do you ever just have moments where you are struck by just how *lucky* you are? I do. I can be at my wits end and ready to jump in the car to just drive into invisibility and then my son will smile at me, or he will lean over and slap a big sloppy baby kiss on my lips and I remember just how lucky I am.
The same thing can happen with my daughter. She drives me to insanity sometimes (and I'm absolutely sure she knows she's doing it!) Then in one moment, she will wrap her arms around my neck and tell me she's got a secret - she will then whisper in my ear "I love you most in all the world Mummy" and my heart melts - literally into a big sopping wet mess all over the floor.
Who knew this parenting/mummy job was going to be so amazing beyond words are able to describe, yet so frustrating and challenging at the same damn time?!
But no matter what happens in the world, in my life, in any given day - my daughter and son's smiles, giggles, and kisses are enough to remind me that I am indeed the luckiest mother in the world.

The Second Step...

So today, I am officially making my *second* step, and starting on my second new years resolution.... to start my healthy (or at least healthier) eating plan, and as a result - lose 20kg by Christmas time (well here's hoping).
2008 wasnt an entirely good year for my eating habits - but there were times when I did try, and other times when I couldnt give a rats what entered my mouth, so in the end I figured what better way to start a new, healthier meal plan than at the start of a new year?
Here's hoping I am able to stick to the plan!

Welcome to my world!!

As the title suggests, this is indeed a welcome to my world. Not only that, it's an opportunity for me to record/blog/journal a record keeping tool for my childrens future reference.
So, as a new years resolution - I have resolved to blog-friendly my life a LOT more, so here on the 6th January 2009 is my first step.
As I said my main reason for this blog is for my children Lydia & Zane. It's a chance for them to have something to look back on from their childhood, a resource that aims to record our lives & experiences.
There are so many things both of them say and do every day - that I want to remember and record, or more to the point record so I can remember!
So here it is - the blog about the 'three of us'.
